Digipak:
Images
This is an image from google which represented the type of image we wanted for the front of our digipak, obviously this one would not be used but we are hoping to gain something similar
These are the types of clock faces we were hoping to have in the eyes of our photos for our front cover
Sketches
These are all potential digipak sketches for our actual digipak. We used these to get audience feedback on their idea of a suitable digipak for the artist, genre and style. We tried to include different ideas from our video into our digipak however, some of these digipak ideas are now retired because we changed parts of our video. Most of these digipaks include clocks either via the actual CD or in the eyes of the girl on the front cover. This highlights the title "These Are The Times". Furthermore, we wanted to show the band in the digipak and we were considering adding lyrics to the digipak but decided it looked too busy for our laid back approach; marry this potential "busy" digipak with our simplistic magazine advert just doesn't gel together and is not linear.
Fonts Research
This is our digipak, it combines the video and the magazine advert together. The main theme of the digipak is simple but affective, like the magazine advert we decided to use a black and white theme but have the insert where the CD would be as colourful to stand out - the CD would also be in this pattern. As you can see, the chosen text has been used. The colour squares and the masks which appear in the video are also seen on this digipak which shows a linear mark on our different media platforms and mediums. Furthermore, the digipak shows the website to buy official merchandise and also it shows that the band and fan clubs are available on Facebook and Twitter. This is shown through the symbols on the back of the digipak. Finally, the digipak shows all of the songs on the album, not just These Are The Times - however, These Are The Times stands out as it is the biggest font and also it is the most bold.
